Megaworld hails Kevin Tan as executive director Lara Anne Magbalana October 20, 2024 No Comments Kevin Tan, the young tycoon and visionary behind some of the country’s most exciting and groundbreaking developments, is stepping into a new role as executive director of Megaworld. Cementing his succession to lead and shape the trajectory of the real estate arm of Alliance Global Group, Inc (AGI) in the future, Kevin Tan earns the position of executive director of Megaworld. Prior to this ascension, the 45-year-old tycoon served as Megaworld’s chief strategy officer and executive vice president. He also remains AGI’s vice chairman, president, and CEO; MREIT’s and Infracorp Development’s president; Travellers International Hotel Group’s chairman; and Newport World Resorts’ operator, all while holding directorships in Emperador and Global-Estate Resorts. Last quarter, Tan introduced iconic global brands to the Philippines, including the first Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill at Newport World Resorts. He recently signed a deal with Tesla, which is set to launch its flagship showroom in Uptown Bonifacio in Taguig this quarter. Tan is also leading AGI’s tourism foray, recently opening the Grand Westside Hotel in Westside City—the largest hotel in the Philippines. A patron of the arts, Tan unveiled a new theatre for Repertory Philippines (REP) in Eastwood City. This is a key step in his vision to establish the Philippines as the Broadway of Asia, culminating in the opening of the country’s first Grand Opera House in Westside City in Parañaque.
